The Inaugural Indiana Inject Tech Challenge
Win up to $10,000
SUBMISSIONS NOW CLOSED
The Indiana Inject Tech Challenge seeks to catalyze the development of novel life sciences solutions through collaboration among multidisciplinary teams including scientists, engineers, and technologists. The Inject Tech Challenge is a competitive process that anticipates the collision of traditionally tangential areas of research to create new disruptive solutions designed to improve patient outcomes. The target goals include increased adherence/compliance to treatment, increased/improved access to clinicians/clinical trials, and the merging of complementary, but often disconnected data sets.
Applicants submitted their answers to the following challenge statements:
Challenge Statement 1
Digital health and mobile medical solutions for measuring/monitoring/treating disease progression in chronic pain conditions, prediabetes/diabetes, and/or diabetic complications through novel endpoints.
Challenge Statement 2
Identify a portable and fungible (across electronic health record data systems) solution to engage healthcare providers, enabling and incentivizing referrals (using workflow management and compensation features) into clinical research. Projects aligned to diabetes, pain, and/or autoimmune diseases will be prioritized.
Challenge Statement 3
Innovative, total support system/model to enable clinical trial participation of diverse populations.
Challenge Statement 4
A solution to transform and merge “omics” data and clinical data through advanced analytics and machine-learning to enable a new level of data interoperability, accessibility, and security.
The top entries will be on display at the Indiana Life Science Summit on October 9-10, and the winner will be announced on Oct. 10.
